What are dental implants?

Dental implants Austin practitioners make use of artificial anchors that resemble s crews or cylinders. They support the broken teeth with these artificial tooth roots. Usually, these implants are made of titanium or other similar materials that are not considered detrimental to human body. The implants are attached to either the upper or lower jaw to support the artificial tooth (teeth) that are more widely referred as crowns. These materials have been in use through decades and many patients have actually benefitted by getting these artificial bridgework. Implants make it easy for the patients to chew food. Implants and crowns are attached to the jaw without any adhesive and need not be removed for washing/cleaning. You can use your toothbrush for cleaning the artificial teeth. An Austin dental implants practitioner can explain you the benefits in a more detailed manner.
The three-step process of attaching dental implants

Dental implants Austin professionals opine that the entire process of dental implantation may take several months together. These dentists follow a three-step procedure to implant dental plates and crowns. At first, the dentist places the artificial root inside the jaw. The implant is well protected by a screw, which prevents debris and gum tissue to enter the area. The implant is then covered for 3 to 6 months. During that time, the implant coalesces with the bone (this process is medically termed as osseointegration). Patients may experience pain, swelling or tenderness during this period. The best dentists in Austin always prescribe pain-killing medicines that assuage the pain and discomfort. Patients who have already undergone surgery are strictly recommended not to take too cold or too hot food during the healing time. Austin dental implants professionals fit extensions to support the replacement teeth after the initial pain and discomfort fades away. As a final step, the dentist sets a custom-built crown onto the post.

Pre-assessment
Reputable dental implants Austin professionals never proceed towards performing an implantation surgery if they find their patients are not clinically eligible for the process. In reputable clinics, a team of professional dental practitioners discuss the case of each patient individually to decide whether a person is a good candidate for a surgery of this type or not. If required, consult an Austin dental implants practitioner several times before you are finally convinced that you are medically fit for the surgical process.

Alzheimer’s Disease and the Link to the Hidden Universe

Alzheimer’s disease is a mysterious illness, which according to Alzheimer’s Association affects approximately 5.4 million Americans. This illness is associated with the later stages of life and is why Alzheimer’s disease is now the sixth leading cause of death in this country. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. This condition is degenerative and ultimately leads loss of control of body functions. Alzheimer’s disease is an exhausting ordeal for anyone with the demanding responsibility of supporting the afflicted individual. The resources of caretakers are stretched to the limit both emotionally and financially. What’s most difficult for the caretakers is the lack of control they experience. There is relatively little medical information available to explain this puzzling illness. The indefinable nature of Alzheimer’s disease is a force to be reckoned with. To the metaphysical philosopher and spiritualist, Alzheimer’s disease is not so mysterious and frightening. This illness represents an extraordinary period of inner exploration for the affected individual. Many of us have witnessed a person in the later stages of the disease. It seems as if their awareness has left them. It’s like the light is on but no one’s home. That statement is exactly true. I saw this for myself while volunteering for a hospice organization some years ago. The patients seemed lifeless. Their mannerisms were mechanical and without intent.

A person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease holds the distinctive blank expression as a result of limited consciousness. People have a tendency to let go of this reality in order to explore other worlds. Though the person’s mind does not seem to be present, there is significant activity taking place on other levels. At the onset of this illness, the individual begins to slowly focus on other spheres of existence. Their attention is drawn to a separate reality. The secret door to universal knowledge is literally open wide to the seeker.

I call this phenomenon -straddling.- Straddling is the act of splitting one’s consciousness between two realities. These two worlds are the known universe and the hidden universe. Alzheimer’s disease brings with it a period of significant learning. I avoid using the word suffering, since the family endures the pain. Straddling is an opportunity for the affected individual and clears the way for a comparatively smooth transition.

This is a metaphysical explanation for a frightening disease. Knowledge brings understanding to those who choose to accept it. In some cases, understanding brings relief. The truth of this disease allows family and friends to experience peace. I hope this article will be of help to those family members and close friends grieving a loved one given over to the Alzheimer’s journey.

Morgellons disease fits in the same vein and boat – In the case of Lyme Disease it was that in the 1990’s no specific tests could done to positively ascertain and diagnose the illness. It was if the doctors were working in the dark without specific accurate diagnostic tests and processes. Much like a sleep lab physician , working with a patient who was tired and exhausted all the time , yet not able to positively determine the patient’s ailment , before the days of standardized sleep labs and testing procedures.

Its not your imagination. No doubt about it. Just seeking adequate health care for Morgellons Disease / disorder / Syndrome is exhausting and frustrating just by itself.

Lyme disease used to be a non-disease . Is Morgellons a hearty disease that patient’s simply make up on purpose in their minds or fantasies . It was “all in their head “, they were “imagining it ” , neurotic , or just “plain crazy”. Lyme Disease and its suffers became a cause celebre in the media. Research programs were put in place resulting in diagnostic procedures , tests and the teaching of the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease to medical students as well as practicing doctors and medical treatment staff in medical clinics , hospitals and health care faculties and facilities across the land. It took some time , for the research and work to be done , yet now Lyme Disease is an actual recognized disease and illness. Leaky Gut Syndrome; What You May Not Know About It.

The small intestine contains billions of cells, which are packed tightly together to keep bacteria, viruses, and other toxins out of the body’s tissues. The intestines also contain Villi. Villi are finger-like projections on the lining of the intestinal tract with hair-like cell membrane extensions called Microvilli. The Villi are responsible for the absorption of nutrients.

Leaky Gut Syndrome is a condition which causes the intestinal lining to become inflamed. When this happens, the Microvilli become damaged or altered. The damaged Microvilli cannot then produce the necessary enzymes and secretions that are essential for healthy digestion and the absorption of nutrients.

When the intestinal lining becomes damaged; large spaces develop between the cells of the intestinal wall. When this happens; large, undigested food particles, bacteria and toxins beginto leak into the bloodstream (see picture above). The body perceives these undigested food particles as pisonous invaders and alerts the immune system to attack them. This creates inflammatory reactions which can occur throughout the entire body.

As these particles travel through the bloodstream they eventually reach the liver; which is designed to filter toxins from the blood. The liver is the largest gland in the body and plays a very important part in detoxification as well as having many other functions including; bile production, containing bile acids (which aid digestion), filtering out toxins such as drugs, alcohol and environmental toxins, storing glucose as glycogen then breaking it down about 4 hours after a meal to be converted to glucose to regulate blood sugar levels, converting ammonia to urea and removing damaged red blood cells.

Leaky Gut Syndrome completely overworks the liver as it floods it with additional toxins, diminishing the livers’s ability to neutralize chemical substances. When it cannot cope with the level of toxins, the liver expels them back into the bloodstream. The circulatory system then pushes the toxins into the connective tissues and muscles where the body stores them to prevent major organ damage.

Over time, the liver becomes so completely overworked that it is never able to return to deal with the stored toxins, thus the toxins are simply left in the various areas of body tissue where they were originally placed. As the intestinal lining becomes weaker and weaker, more toxins and undigested foods continue to flood the bloodstream, making the situation simply impossible for the already overworked liver to filter. This in turn causes the immune system to release antibodies to fight the leftover foreign substances and in doing so, toxic oxidants and inflammation are produced as the immune system attacks the body tissues containing these toxins. This situation then begins to cause inflammatory reactions, pain, food sensitivities, and several other physical symptoms, thus starting the unfortunate process of general breakdown of the body’s natural defense; the immune system.

Statistics show that an estimated 75-90% of the population have been impacted by food intolerances and sensitivities. Research indicates that Leaky Gut Syndrome affects millions of people worldwide. Leaky Gut Syndrome is a chronic debilitating condition that often goes undiagnosed by most mainstream medical professionals. Many don’t acknowledge that the condition even exists. As a result; many people are not aware that the sufferings and symptoms they are presently dealing with are being caused by the Leaky Gut they have developed over time. We need to emphasize, this problem is very real and even more importantly we need to understand how to stop it’s progression.

Symptoms

The symptoms of Leaky Gut Syndrome are many and varied. They include: abdominal pain, heartburn, fatigue, depression, migraines, loss of mental clarity, insomnia, bloating, anxiety, gluten intolerance, malnutrition, muscle cramps and pains, poor exercise tolerance, food allergies.

Leaky Gut Syndrome has also been linked with many conditions such as: Celiac Disease, Mutiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Austism, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, eczema, Dermatitis, Ulcerative Colitis.

70% of our immune system is located around the digestive system so it is no wonder that all of these symptoms and illnesses can be traced back to a common cause of Leaky Gut Syndrome.

Causes

So you may be wondering what causes Leaky Gut Syndrome? There are a large number of factors related to Leaky Gut Syndrome. The most common known contributors are a poor diet, food allergies, pharmaceutical drugs, chemotherapy, some stomach medications (H2 blockers), stress, radiation, infections, parasites, celiac disease, hypochloridia (reduced stomach acid), candidiasis (yeast over-growth), dysbiosis (imbalance of bacteria), alcohol, and damage to the microvilli that line the intestine and produce the enzymes that digest our food. Food additives such as MSG & soy proteins can also damage the intestinal flora. Organic foods are always preferred when possible. These are only a few of the causes. There are many others that we wll discuss in more detail later.

Conclusion

With food sensitivities and intolerance appearing to have obvious links to many diseases, it is vital that the offending foods be eliminated from the diet for at least 3 to 6 months. It is also important to note that having a variety of foods in the diet can help prevent food intolerances. Those whose diets are repetitive end up developing sensitivities to those foods that are eaten day in and day out. Once the offending foods have been eliminated, the diet should be supplemented with S.A.V.E. and an Omega-3 fatty acid such as Krill Oil, which helps reduce inflammation in the intestinal wall as it promotes it’s healing.

The need for food intolerance testing is pivotal to find and remove the offending foods that are enhancing the problem. This is the first step in stopping the vicious cycle that is tearing down your body’s natural defenses. Just as important as testing, is the need to repair the intestinal lining to prevent more undigested foods from entering the bloodstream. The daily supplementation of S.A.V.E. has been shown to be extremely beneficial to the rehabilitation of the cells in your body, the gut and it’s lining; rejuvenating it’s ability to effectively reduce inflammation which will help return your body to it’s normal function and balance.
